PEP WANTS THE BEST FOR YAYA TOURE....via@sportsbywest3

In football, when a Coach is newly appointed to take charge of a team, freedom to select players at his own volition could be a big deciding factor for the club to achieve relative success under the Management of the Coach.

When it was announced that Pep Guardiola would take over from Manuel Pellegrini as the head coach of Manchester City going into the 2016/2017 season, one player that the announcement  gave an unrest was Yaya Toure, and the reasons are not far-fetched, the pair worked together for a while at Barcelona and During the early stages of the 2008–09 season,  the then newly appointed Manager Pep Guardiola favoured Sergio Busquets in the defensive role of Barcelona's midfield trio with Pep sanctioning the Sale of Yaya Toure to Manchester  City in 2010.

Pep Guardiola has changed a whole lot of things since assuming  duty as the Manchester City coach with key big players like Samir Nasri and Joe Hart going out on loan and Yaya Toure not included in his champions league plans at all.
With Yaya Toure unable to get a transfer to another team, it was clear that the Ivorian would be stuck at Manchester City and would have to do a whole lot of talking on the pitch to convince the manager but he never got the chance to play matches for Manchester city when the season started and his outspoken agent, Dimitri Seluk added fuel to a bad situation by engaging in war of words with Guardiola, accusing  Pep of being disrespectful for leaving The Ivorian out of his champions league squad but really, was pep disrespectful?

Without an iota of doubt, Yaya Toure has been a key figure for Manchester City and their success story in England cannot be spoken about without making mention of the impact of a certain Yaya Toure. From Mancini to Manuel Pellegrini, Yaya Toure enjoyed playing for Manchester city and scored a lot of goals in the process.

In truth, no matter how good a player appears to be, not every coach can like the player and his style of play,  it is audible to the deaf and visible to the blind that Pep Guardiola is a master Tactitian that has been successful in Spain and Germany and his decisions should be respected.

Results at the beginning of the season proved Pep Guardiola right as a coach with Manchester city getting wins here and there including a Derby away win over Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Out of the blue,  When it appeared as if everyone has forgotten about Yaya Toure,  just after the international break,  Pep brought him back to the starting line up for Manchester City in the Premier League against Crystal Palace- TIMELINESS OF DECISION,  away from home and Yaya Toure delivered scoring two goals that proved decisive as the citizens won the match 2-1.
Pep has streched Yaya Toure mentally and has sent out a signal to other players that there is no room for complacency as anyone can be benched.
The other key message Pep has sent out with this scenario is that no player is bigger than the club, as Toure only got to play for the Citizens after issuing a public appology. Toure said sorry  for his agent Dimitri Seluk's attacks on Guardiola for axing the Ivory Coast star from his Champions League squad.

Guardiola demanded Toure apologise before he would consider picking him again and was pleased by his statement.

That is what a big coach does, a big coach calls the right decisions at the right times, MENTAL STRETCHING is needed for players  especially when it appears as if they have achieved it all and done it all because for Toure, he could have taken the easy way out by leaving the club.

with Toure hitting top form immediately, it is Crystal clear that PEP ONLY WANTS THE BEST FOR YAYA TOURE, not forgetting that Manchester City's Champions League squad can be altered in January and Toure can be involved in the later stages of European club premium competition, it's not over until it's over.
