The home based super eagles are battle ready to make millions of Nigerians happy at the nations cup meant for players who ply their trade for clubs in their country's league in AFRICA. Making her second appearance at the tournament, the home based Super Eagles will be looking to better their performance in the previous edition of 2014, and maybe get to the final this time.
A team boasting a wide range of star players will be expected to do the honour of making Nigerians proud, like Paul Onobi, who is set to wear the number 10 shirt, and Tunde Adeniji will be wearing the number 9 jersey. Both afore mentioned players dominated the NPFL last season, and the bulk of the focus will be on them.

Although, star player and super eagles forward GBOLAHAN SALAMI is not part of the squad, many analysts feel that the Eagles have enough in their Arsenal to make up for his absence, especially if others like Prince Aggreh and Tunde adeniji can bring their A game to the tournament.
the first game for the home based eagles will be against Niger Republic on January 18 2016 at the Stade Regional Nyamirambo, Kigali.
the super eagles are in group C alongside Niger, Tunisia and Guinea.
